FAQ

How do I decide which classes to take?

During registration, our administration will guide you to help you choose courses that interest you and levels that challenge you.

My learning skills are pretty strong already from High School. Will I be challenged?

Absolutely! We have created an Advanced Beit Midrash Program exactly for students like you! See the question below for more info on this program. In addition, we have worked hard to ensure that each time slot offers a variety of choices so that students of every level, background, and style can find classes that motivate them to achieve more than they ever thought possible in the world of Talmud Torah.

My learning skills aren't that strong. Will I be ok?

As long as you are motivated to give it your all, you have nothing to worry about! We want all students who are motivated to learn and passionate about chesed to find a place for themselves at Midreshet AMIT, so we are committed to providing exciting, challenging classes for ALL learners. Toward that end, we have worked hard to ensure that each time slot offers a variety of choices so that students of every level, background, and style can find classes that push their learning to the next level while providing the guidance and support that they need. And who knows - maybe your skills will improve so much as the year progresses that you will at some point feel ready to try out one of the Advanced courses!

Will I have the opportunity to learn Hebrew?

Ulpan is offered on an intermediate and advanced level so all students will be able to strengthen their Hebrew skills. In addition, you will be using Hebrew daily in communicating with the children at Beit Hayeled (and they will LOVE to correct your mistakes!).

Will I have any opportunities for chavruta?

Yes. At AMIT, we strongly encourage all of our students to maximize their potential for developing independent learning skills. You always have the option to learn with a chavruta something of your own choosing with the guidance of the staff circulating, always ready to offer assistance.
