Chesed @ Shalva
Aside from the daily chesed with the children at Beit Hayeled, our girls have gone on a variety of "chesed trips" this year. This week we went to Shalva, a wonderful organization that provides multiple services to children with developmental disabilities and their families. After a tour of the facilities, the girls participated in an art project with some young and adorable special needs children. The students were impressed with all that Shalva provides for the children and their families and really enjoyed the morning. The pictures below speak for themselves. Tonight, Rabbi Goldstein gave a special "Shiur Klali" to the students about his personal connection to Shalva through his son Yehuda which made the trip especially meaningful.
