Lag Ba'omer
We celebrated Lag Ba-omer at AMIT in the traditional Israeli way - bonfires and BBQ's! The girls stayed up with the children at Beit Hayeled late into the night and celebrated with them by singing songs, telling stories, and eating dinner by the fire. After the Beit Hayeled kids went to bed, our students and Chaya Eichen, a madricha, enjoyed their own bonfire with music, lively singing lead by guitarist Marissa Braunstein, and lots of toasted marshmallows. The fun continued on Thursday, Lag Baomer day, at "Park Gilo" where each mishpacha made tents out of blankets, enjoyed BBQ's and had fun in the park.
