Shalva Visit
On Monday morning, we went on a chesed trip to Shalva, an amazing organization located in Yerushalayim that works with disabled children from all over Israel. After a tour of the facility and a description of all of the services that they provide, our students, along with Mrs. Barbara Vidomlanski and myself, ran a Chanukah art activity for the day care children who are between the ages of 1 and 3. Each AMIT student worked one-on-one with a disabled child and the activity brought lots of smiles and simcha to everyone. We thank students Marissa Braunstein and Alex Thurm for coordinating all of the details of this special experience.
